Japan's Rakuten plans to restart the Fashion e-commerce platform Rakuten fashion, which will be officially implemented on October 1

It is reported that Japan's Rakuten announced a new Fashion strategy on September 17, 2019, which plans to restart Rakuten Fashion (Rakuten Fashion Platform), aiming to provide one-stop digital services for the fashion industry and create a platform to provide users with high value-added services in the fashion field.

Rakuten is implementing various initiatives on its fashion e-commerce website and Internet shopping mall Rakuten Ichiba to strengthen the fashion genre and grow the fashion industry and e-commerce in Japan and globally. In addition, in a core initiative, Rakuten Japan established a partnership with the Japan Fashion Week Organization in August 2019 to become the main sponsor of Tokyo Fashion Week, and renamed the event "Rakuten Tokyo Fashion Week" from October this year.

Rakuten's new fashion strategy includes leveraging the resources of various units of the Rakuten Group to provide one-stop digital solutions for the fashion industry and build a more open platform, aiming to improve the efficiency of the entire business from product planning, manufacturing to sales. The solution will include demand forecasting, order management and payment systems, logistics services and overseas sales support services. Through this new platform, Rakuten aims to promote the digitization of the Japanese fashion industry, strengthen e-commerce and contribute to the further development of the fashion industry.

The existing Rakuten BRAND AVENUE website will also relaunch Rakuten Fashion on October 1. The new design of Rakuten Fashion aims to create a trendy fashion platform and provide new value to users. The relaunched platform will offer a simpler, more refined design and incorporate a new brand story page that allows participating merchants to more deeply share the stories and concepts behind the brand, enabling merchants to interact more closely with users and create more.
